Sodexis, Inc. has an immediate need for a full time Java Developer/ERP consultant. Sodexis, Inc is a leading Compiere partner located in Richmond, VA. Compiere is the world's leading provider of open source and cloud-based ERP business solutions. This position will start as a java programmer with the potential, based on the candidate skills and experience, to progressively move toward an ERP consultant position that works with end client to indentify requirements and implements them.
Required Skills and Experience:
A BS or equivalent in computer science or related field
5 or more years Java development experience
Solid Relational Database experience
Object Oriented Analysis and Design experience
Full development lifecycle experience (Agile methodology)
Setup of applications in both windows and Linux environment.
Self Starter/Ability to work independently and in a group.
No matter what it takes, you get the job done, and if it is needed you learn it.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
MS/PhD in any related field.
Experience with Cloud technologies.
Experience with collaboration tools, testing tools.
Sun Java Programmer’s Certification
Open-source software advocate/Experience with other open-source softwares.
Experience with Oracle and/or EnterpriseDB.
Familiarity with Web technologies: HTML, css, AJAX, gwt.
Experience with ERP systems.
Experience with Application Servers (Jboss, Tomcat)
Successful candidates for this position must work well within deadlines, be organized, creative and detail oriented. Some travel is required for this position.
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
Local candidates strongly preferred.
Salary range: 50k to 75k, based on experience, + bonus based on the overall performance of the company, Benefits negotiable.
